Shelter Rock Tennis Club

Shelter Rock is pleased  to announce that Miguel Cobbs has joined  our club as our new Tennis Director . Miguel was previously the Director of Racquet Sports at Cherry Valley Country Club for 11 years  and prior  to that he was the pro at the Village club of Sands point for 8 years . He played #1 singles at Wayne State Unversity and was ranked #8 in  the mens  Opens in Florida. Miguel  brings with him over 24 years of teaching experience, developing and implementing successful programs for juniors of all skill levels

Robin Deitch-Nogrady
Head Tennis Professional

Robin was one of the top junior players in the country and went on to play for the University of South Carolina on a full tennis scholarship. Robin still holds the records in both career wins for singles and doubles at USC. Robin was a silver medalist in the Olympic festival in mixed doubles losing to Pete Sampras and partner. Robin competed at the highest level having finished her competitive years on the Pro Tour and finally bringing her skills to Shelter Rock.
Robin teaches all ages and levels giving private, semi-private, and group lessons, and is a USPTA member rated as an Elite Professional.

Alex Zarek
Assistant Head Tennis Professional

Alex was introduced to tennis at the age of 5, and has never stopped playing since. He was ranked a top junior in the Northeast from 1980 through 1987 and played in professional satellite tournaments in 1988 to 1989. In 1990 he decided to focus his talents on teaching and found his way to Shelter Rock Tennis Club in 1997. Alex is a United States Professional Tennis Registry certified instructor and a member of the US National Tennis Academy.
Alex is in charge of the junior and children’s tennis clinics at Shelter Rock in addition to teaching private and group lessons to all ages and levels.
